The North East Scotland Fisheries Local Action Group (NESFLAG) was officially launched on 7th March 2016, at an event at the Scottish Maritime Academy in Peterhead. NESFLAG will deliver the Community-Led Local Development axis of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund 2014-2020 for fishing communities in Aberdeenshire and Angus.
About 60 people attended the launch, representing a range of interests in fisheries areas across the North East. Welcomes and introductions were made by Linda Hope and Jimmy Buchan, FLAG Co-Chairs. An overview of the programme was provided by Martin Brebner (Aberdeenshire Council European Funding Team Manager) and a question and answer session followed.
Applications are now open- details of the process can be found here.
